Author Name : Ms. Kalyani, Dr. Publin Dash

ABSTRACT

Deafness is that the commonest sensory deficit within the elderly, and it's becoming a severe social and ill health. Especially within the geriatric population, deafness can impair the exchange of data, thus significantly impacting lifestyle, causing loneliness, isolation, dependence, frustration, and communication disorders. thanks to the aging of the population within the developed world, presbycusis may be a growing problem that has been reported to scale back the standard of life (QoL). Progression of presbycusis can't be remediated; therefore, optimal management of this condition not only requires early recognition and rehabilitation, but it also should include an evaluation of QoL status               and        its           assessment.
