Author Name : Badam Rajasekhara Reddy, P. Anusha
ABSTRACT
In fast growing today’s worlds development of new building materials and processing. It is known that nearly 600 million tons of fly ash is produced in the World per Annum. In India, coal-fired power plants produce about 196 million tonnes of fly ash annually. Disposal and Potential of causing pollution of air and water. The bricks produced were about 28% lighter than clay bricks. Fly ash bricks absorb less quantity of which is under I.S. requirements. Fly ash bricks are very similar to the clay bricks in terms of density and durability. Fly ash bricks are given Good results for thermal conductivity, size and shape, compressive Strength. From the study it can be concluded that fly ash bricks are alternative for clay bricks. Fly ash concrete reduces the issues like corrosion, alkali-silica reaction. Sulphate reaction, shrinkage, permeability and bleeding, thus are enhancing the overall performance of concrete. Using of fly ash in partial replacement of cement, it prevents the environmental problems and soil degradation.
Keywords: Fly ash bricks, Fly ash cement concrete, LCA of fly ash, BIM Modelling, STAAD Analysis.
