A Study on the Impact of Capital Structure in Profitability of Selected Pharmaceutical Firms in India

ABSTRACT

Capital structure decision is  the  interaction  between  a  company's  equity  capital, preference  capital,   debt capital  and  internal  reserves - in  order  to  determine  what  capital  mix  would  be  best  suited  to  maximize the  profitability  of  the  company. In today’s  complex  business  world, it   is  essential  to  understand  in threadbare  the  factors  that  affect  the  profitability  and  performance  of  the  company.  This  study  will throw light  on  the  relationship  between  capital  structure  and  profitability  among  10  Pharmsuitcalfirms.the main problem of this research is to study the effect of capital structure on the profitability of pharmaceutical company in India descriptive research was used for this study, secondary data collected from money control. The study disclosed that majority of firms capital structure not significant in profitability of the firm.
