A Study to Assess the Effectiveness of Structured Teaching Program Regarding Tomato Fever Among Mothers of Under Five Children in Srirangavarum at Medchal District, Telangana

ABSTRACT The aim of the study was to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme reg arding tomato fever among mothers of under five children. The study was adopted a quasi-experimental design. The total number of samples selected was 50 by non-probability convenient sampling technique. The data was collected through structured knowledge questionnaire.. The study results was shows that in the pre-test mean knowledge score was 22.54 and standard deviation was 3.33.In post-test mean knowledge score was 34.52, standard deviation was 2.08 and calculated value of paired t-test was 2.446. Table value at 0.05 level of significance. As the calculated value is greater than table value it is evident that there was a significant difference between pre-test and post-test knowledge scores. The study concluded that majority of the mothers of under five children had adequate knowledge in the post test. Therefore, it is inferred that mothers of under five children gained adequate knowledge regarding tomato fever after structured teaching programme.
