A Survey on Machine Learning in Wireless Sensor Networks

ABSTRACT A wireless sensor network (WSN) is one of the most promising technologies for various real-time applications because of its size, cost-effectiveness, and simply deployable environment. Due to some exterior or interior factors, WSN may modify dynamically and therefore it requires depreciating dispensable remodeling of the network. The traditional WSN approaches have been unambiguously programmed which create the networks hard to react dynamically. To overcome such scenarios, machine learning (ML) techniques can be useful to react consequently. In this paper, machine learning methods that have been applied in WSNs to work out some networking and application problems are surveyed and future machine learning research routes are highlighted.
