Addressing the Complexity of Security Incident Detection in Multi-Tenant Managed Security Services

Author Name : Saravanakumar Baskaran

ABSTRACT As more organizations move to cloud-based infrastructures, Managed Security Services (MSS) have become a critical part of their cybersecurity strategy, particularly in environments where multiple tenants share resources. While multi-tenancy offers scalability and cost benefits, it also brings a unique set of challenges when it comes to detecting and responding to security incidents. These challenges include the potential for cross-tenant attacks, difficulty isolating issues between tenants, and managing the vast amounts of data generated in such systems. In this article, we explore these complexities in detail and look at practical strategies for enhancing incident detection in multi-tenant MSS, from leveraging AI tools to implementing more effective network segmentation. By understanding and addressing these challenges, organizations can improve their incident detection capabilities and strengthen their overall security defenses.
