Author Name : Shriraj G. Parsekar
ABSTRACT India has made tremendous efforts to implement the Education for all programmes. To ensure that all children in the country have access to free and compulsory education, the country’s stakeholders have taken several important initiatives. India’s education system has received a necessary boost. Thanks to flagship programs like Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), National Literacy Mission (NLM) and statutes like Right to Education (RTE). Although the primary school enrolment rate has increased significantly across the country, there are still some problems that need to be solved. The main focus of this paper is on the strategies currently used in Goa to integrate Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the education context of India by revising the new education policy and its impact on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) goals. The paper focuses on the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically quality education which liberates students from conditional learning through holistic and quality education, promoting education that is not restricted by established curricula.
