All-on-4 Variations for Maxillary atrophy: A Review
Author Name : Dr. Dhruti Modi, Dr. Rajesh Sethuraman, Dr. Pravisha Rai, Dr. Harshal Jain
ABSTRACT The All-on-4 treatment concept has emerged as a prominent solution for managing maxillary atrophy in completely edentulous patients. This review explores various adaptations of the All-on-4 technique, focusing on zygomatic implants, quad zygomatic approaches, and other advanced methodologies. Zygomatic implants provide robust anchorage in the zygomatic bone, enabling immediate loading and reducing the need for extensive bone grafting. The quad zygomatic approach further enhances stability by employing four implants in the zygomatic region, offering an effective solution for severe maxillary resorption. Additionally, advanced techniques, including strategic implant angulation and customized prosthetics, contribute to improved load distribution and prosthetic outcomes. This review emphasizes the importance of individualized treatment planning based on the patient’s anatomical and physiological conditions, highlighting the efficacy of these All-on-4 variations in restoring function and aesthetics for patients with maxillary atrophy.
