An Analytical Study on Movement of Stocks Price in the Indian Stock Market with Special Reference to Automobile Sector

ABSTRACT

A stock market is a place where shares of publicly listed companies are traded. The investors choose companies according to their risk appetite and return expectations. Stock selection is an important aspect of investment in stocks. The imbalance in demand and supply of the shares create a movement in the stock and the investors must know how to react to these situations in order to avoid or reduce losses. The NIFTY 50 index consists of 14 sectors in which the automobile sector is growing at a very fast rate and is expected to grow even faster. This paper studies the analysis of trend movement of selected automobile companies as well as the detailed price movement of Tata Motors ltd.
