Analysis of Approaches of Recommendation for e-Business

ABSTRACT
In the scholastic work, there has been a lot of research work is done on recommendation system, but mostly focused on general theoretical concerns such as recommendation techniques and algorithm, its implication in electronics business and social networks etc. However, some of the research work has gone ahead and presented the architecture and implementation of recommendation system in specific domain. Unfortunately, a very little research work has been done to provide the architecture and design standard out of the specific domain. To date, there is no standard design and architecture for recommendation system for e-Business is available, which the business organization can take as a model to implement in their e-Business. Each domain has different types of recommendation requirement, and it is not possible to devise a common design for them. However, a standard process of selection of recommendation approach and algorithm can guide the organizations to implement recommendation system in their electronic business portal. The purpose of paper is to analyse different approaches of recommendation system that can be used for any electronic business to their specific business need. As per the available literature there are several approaches to cater the recommendation system. However, the objective of paper is to deeply analyse these approaches which will be helpful inselection method of the approaches of a recommendation for different e-business domains.
