ABSTRACT

Kanchanara and Kovidara endowed with Gandamalahara property. It possesses Kashaya rasa, sheeta veerya, and ruksha guna and kapha pittahara. Karma like shotha hara, lekhana are attributed. Gandamala hara karma is attributed by Ashtanga Hridaya, shodala Nighantu, Bhavaprakasha Nighantu, Madanapala Nighantu and Priya Nighantu,And Kanchanra is major ingredient in yogas like Kanchanara guggulu, Gandamala kandana rasa used to treat Gandamala. Herbal remedies are often sought by patients with chronic disease especially patients with cancers to provide symptom relief. Each herb contains multiple active principles that often operate synergistically producing therapeutic benefits and lowering the risks of adverse effects; and avoids the need for supplemental therapy to manage cancer cachexia
