ABSTRACT Virtual Reality (VR) journalism has become an effective form of immersive crisis reporting, offering viewers a unique and captivating viewpoint on significant events. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of VR journalism in the context of Kerala, known as "God's Own Country," with a specific focus on natural disasters, conflicts, and public health issues. This research investigates the transformative potential of Virtual Reality (VR) journalism in crisis reporting, focusing on its impact on Kerala's response to natural disasters, conflicts, and public health emergencies. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the researcher analyze user feedback and conduct content analysis to assess the effectiveness of VR in conveying complex crisis narratives. The study examines the ethical implications of VR journalism, focusing on Kerala as a case study. It provides insights for responsible technology use and contributes to future strategies for integrating immersive technologies in journalism, promoting effective communication during crises.
