ABSTRACT
The world is becoming smaller and the use of technologies has broken all barriers. Now, it is pretty easy to communicate with a person who is away from us. This has become possible due to ICT. It is recognized in this era of technological connectivity that one does not live in isolation and therefore needs skills to use ICT to a large extent. Cognitive aspect deals with the acquisition and enhancement of knowledge and information among teachers, students and other users. Technical aspect enables users to use the gained knowledge and information in the best possible way. The numerous advancements in ICT have provided teacher educators with theoretical and functional knowledge of how to use ICT tools for a number of purposes such as lesson planning, planning and designing teaching aids, teaching, assessment and evaluation, feedback and so on. Both current and emerging ICT will decide and influence on what is teaching-learning how the teaching-learning will occur. The modern communication technologies provide opportunities for many learners to enroll in courses offered by institutions located at any place across the world rather than those situated in their local areas. It proved to be very effective for lesson planning as it not only enhances teacher’s performance but also increases student’s efficiency to gain information. it is slowly and gradually replacing traditional teaching aids to ICT Aids and also used in educational assessment and evaluation very effective manner.
