Cluster Head Selection Protocol with Improved the Lifetime of Wireless Sensor Network

Author Name : Tamanna Sharma, Yogesh

ABSTRACT

WSNs are self-configured and infrastructure-free wireless networks.  They have been frequently used to monitor physical or environmental elements, such as noise or vibration, and transport their data to a central point. These WSNs have a number of difficulties, including a high demand for bandwidth, high energy consumption, quality of service (QoS) provisioning, data processing and compression techniques, and cross-layer design. Sensor nodes are sorted into clusters, and the CHs are then selected one by one for each cluster. The base station receives data from the cluster nodes through the CHs. Selecting cluster leaders in WSNs is a major challenge. A cluster head is a node that receives data from the cluster sensors and delivers it to the base stations. Machine learning techniques are being used to improve WSNs in a slew of studies. Data from the sensors in the cluster is sent to the Base Station via the Cluster node. Cluster head selection is the subject of current research, which aims to enhance WSN life. This study took into account a variety of aspects that affect the daily lives of WSNs.
