Author Name : Dr. Bimal Mandal
ABSTRACT
Rishi Bankim Chandra Chattopadhaya mentioned about the solar could, solar padartha etc. Bankim Chandra presented different types of examples due to the context of the speading and velocity of the solar-could. He wrote that each star is just like a sun but due to farness from the earth, it seems a spot. He again wrote that stars are out of number. We cannot count them due to their disorder. The stars are not within rows and so, their counting is impossible. Bankim Chandra mentioned about the Mildy Way also. He spoke that Carbolic Acid kills the germs and the doctors use it to sterilize the weapons. Bankim Chandra also said that when a person climbs up to a mountain, he can feel the less temperature comparatively and so, high hill is covered by snow. Breathing air is not sufficient there and so, it is hard to breathe. Bankim Chandra wrote, the earth was created, no life was there But gradually life came in water first and then in the land. He wrote that diamond and coal are two different forms of carbon. Carbonic acid, nitric acid, soda-water, ammonia, sodium chlorine silicon, alumina etc. Are mentioned in this topic. He wonderfully defined the organic composition of this earth and also of human being. In this context, he also gave us the idea of an atom-its amount and weight.
