Corporate Governance: History and Evaluation of the Reforms
Author Name : Pahuljot Kaur Sidhu
ABSTRACT: Purpose - Corporate governance is about fostering transparency, accountability and disclosure of companies. The system for corporate governance specifies the assignment of rights and responsibilities between different corporate members, such as executive boards, executives, shareholders and other parties concerned, and describes the rules and procedures for corporate decision-making. Through doing so, it provides the structure by which the organization's objectives are set along with the means to accomplish these objectives as well as to track results. The rules for the efficient management of corporations refer to corporate governance activities. A thorough review of the Indian corporate governance structure is included in this document and practises. The paper starts with a presentation of India's corporate management history.
