Author Name : Sangeeta Soni, Harshita Bisht
ABSTRACT
When time strikes, even things seemingly impossible become possible. Higher education institutes are best example of it. They have excellently combated the impact of sudden outbreak of Covid-19 on education sector. Whether it be teachers, college management or administration, everyone in education system endeavoured to get the education system back on track. They acknowledged the lockdown guidelines and social distancing norms laid down by the government by altering the transmission of education from face to face classroom learning to online education. The online education framework and facilitators of the education are ready for the change but it is equally important to ascertain students’ perspective regarding the change because if they are not satisfied, the diligent work of educational institutions is meaningless. A subjective sample of 70 students from colleges in Bangalore, Jaipur, Nainital and Mumbai has been selected to understand their experiences with online education through self-prepared, structured, online questionnaires using Google Forms. The paper aims to establish a correlation between inefficient performance of students and online education. Through this paper we also aim to determine the problems faces by college students while attending classes online.
