ABSTRACT Matrices are valuable in various fields beyond mathematics. It is known that a collection of matrices can form a group through operations like component-wise multiplication and addition. Additionally, there are other groups such as the general linear group and the special linear group. In this context, we introduce a new operation on a set of matrices that also forms a group. This newly defined operation differs from the usual matrix multiplication, yet under this operation, the set of matrices still constitutes a group.
