ABSTRACT

The Internet has profoundly changed the ways of publishing. Technology is advancing new electronic products and services to the information professional and to the users. E-publishing is publication into electronic form. Electronic- Journals, books, or e-journals and e-books will transform the way of research scholars and publishers to generate or disseminate the information more quickly than traditional way. The Internet begins to attract the information professional, because all are communicating on the same place i.e. internet, www. This paper presents an overview of e-publishing. needs and advantages. E-journals and e-books are discussed separately with their types, databases, Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) and search engine for accessing e-resource (e journals and e-books). Conclusion highlights some common criticism of e-publishing.
