ABSTRACT

In the past few decades, India has seen many major highly destructive earthquake.latur earthquakes in 1993, Bhuj earthquake in 2001 and during the Nepal earthquake in 2015, most of the constructed load bearing structure were collapsed therefor in today’s scenario. Earthquake resistance structure are becomes important because earthquake-resistance design protects the buildings from earthquake. That is why it essential to secure thebuilding and follow the design protocol codes as mentioned in the national building code of India. Load bearing structures are not much have been devastated therefor after such incident, thegovernment has taken strict measures in the construction.

Now a days most of building like educational, hospital, high-rise residential and commercial etc. are designed to withstand the strong earthquake as long as possible.
