Effect of Covid-19 Pandemic on Hospitality Educators of Private Institutions in India and its Challenges in Future, with Special Reference to Delhi NCR

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research study has been intended to examine the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on private educators of different hospitality institutions in India. This study has been guided by the different objectives included in this study.
The study employed the descriptive and exploratory design; questionnaires in addition to library research as well as the qualitative study have been conducted through Interviews. The interview was focused on hospitality educators and industry personnel from the star category hotels. The designs were applied in order to collect data to get the result as per objectives. Primary and secondary data sources were used and data was analyzed using SPSS software this research reflected the criticality of the concerns in the light of previous researches that have been conducted. The 150 respondents under this study have been selected. These respondents were hospitality educators of different private institutions and universities of the Delhi NCR region.
The research findings revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic has a very significant impact on private hospitality educators on their life and economic status, mental peace, and fear of job loss. There are no substitutes for classroom teaching in India till now were fewer students attended online classes due to lack of means of communication and the speed of the internet. The hospitality professional worked a few days in a month during lockdown alternatively or has been asked to resign. The outcome of this research study provides policymakers in the government with a good understanding of conditions in private sectors. The government ought to take some measures to protect the rights of private hospitality educators and industry personnel in the future.
