An experimental study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of mobile aided pedagogy on the level of knowledge and attitude towards effects of alcohol consumption among auto drivers in selected community setting, Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, India. Objectives of the study was to assess the existing level of knowledge and attitude on effects of alcohol consumption among auto drivers, to evaluate the effectiveness of mobile aided pedagogy regarding effects of alcohol consumption among auto drivers, to correlate the level of knowledge with attitude on effect of alcohol consumption and to determine the association between post-test level of knowledge scores and attitude score on effects of alcohol consumption with selected demographic variables of auto drivers. Non probability convenient sampling technique to select the samples. Study shows that in the pre test 60% of the auto drivers had inadequate knowledge and in post test 62% of the auto drivers had highly adequate knowledge and also in pre test 55% of auto drivers had low positive attitude and in post test 68% of them had highly positive attitude. The study showed that there is a high moderately positive correlation between knowledge and attitude. Paired t test was significant pre- post test knowledge and attitude and there was significant association post test knowledge score with demographic characteristics of previous knowledge on exposure to effects of alcohol consumption and also there was significant association post test attitude score with demographic characteristics like age, residence and type of family.
