Effectiveness of Structured Teaching Program on Selfie Addiction among Young Adults Residing In Rural Areas of Puducherry

ABSTRACT Selfie addiction is a condition where an individual taking more than five selfies and posting it in the social media for earning the attraction. the selfie addiction level is diagnosed based on the level of addiction. Due to this level of selfie addiction number of people where suffering from the selfie syndrome and many people are dying to take selfie in dangerous place and posting it for getting an attraction to people. A pre-experimental design with 226 samples selected through convenience sampling technique. The data was collected by the using the selfstructured questionnaires. The study results revealed that pre-test score of selfie addiction was 42.84+15.91 and the post-test mean was 76.69+6.72. The mean difference score was 33.85. the calculated paired ‘t’ yes value t=32.993 was statistically at p<0.001 level. This clearly infers that STP on selfie addiction among young adults was found to be effective in reducing the level of selfie addiction among them in post-test.
