Examining Gender and Age Differences in Resilience among Working and Non-Working Professionals

Author Name : Mohammed Aqib , Keziah Mary Sam

ABSTRACT. Background: Resilience, the ability to recover from adversity, varies by gender, age, and employment status. Men and women handle stress differently due to societal roles, while younger and older adults face distinct challenges that affect their resilience. Working professionals might have better support and routines that strengthen their resilience, unlike non- working individuals, who may deal with social isolation or financial issues. Understanding these differences helps develop better support systems and interventions to improve mental health and well-being.
