Gastric Volvulus: A Rare Cause of Intestinal Obstruction

ABSTRACT

Gastric volvulus consists of an abnormal rotation of the stomach and although it is a rare entity within the causes of acute abdomen, it is considered an important pathology to consider within the differential diagnoses in cases of intestinal obstruction due to morbidity and mortality when presents itself. The objective of this report is to present the case of intestinal obstruction secondary to gastric volvulus, being a rare cause.
