Gender Empowerment Policies in Andhra Pradesh State – A Case study

ABSTRACT Gender empowerment is a critical aspect of socio-economic development, ensuring equal rights, opportunities, and representation for all genders. In Telangana, India, initiatives for gender empowerment have seen both progress and challenges. This research article explores the current landscape of gender empowerment in Telangana, analysing key initiatives, identifying challenges, and proposing strategies for fostering greater gender equality. NGOs, and civil society organizations to address gender inequality comprehensively. Gender empowerment in Telangana requires concerted efforts across multiple fronts, including policy reform, community engagement, and resource mobilization. Despite challenges, there are significant opportunities for progress through targeted interventions and collaborative action. By prioritizing gender equality, Telangana can realize its full potential as an inclusive and progressive society
