Glimpses of Humanitarian Values in the Poetry of Tahereh Saffarzadeh

ABSTRACT

Tahereh Saffarzadeh is the only major Iranian poetess who sees the afflictions of contemporary Iran in terms of a spiritual wasteland and turns to Islam the sole cure for those ethical and sociopolitical afflictions. Tahereh Saffarzadeh is a modern Muslim poetess and translator and a prominent figure in the field of religious resistance poetry. Her works reflect the era of religious or ethnic intellectuals who began in the 1930s. Various aspects of her poems and ideas can highlight some aspects of modern literature, especially the poetry of religious resistance. Saffarzadeh ​​is one of the poets who have been affected by several factors. They have shifted from the new class position to modern poetic visions, including romantic poetry, poetic creativity, and well-established social and religious poetry. And three poems from different periods. She was always late and as a devout Muslim woman and she was shining on the political and religious stage, especially since the 1950s.
