Impact Analysis of Branch Canal on Land Use Pattern Using GIS Techniques

ABSTRACT This study uses remote sensing and GIS tools to examine the changes in land use and land cover over a period of 15 years. This study combines satellite photos and tools like ArcMap and ERDAS to assess the branch canal's effects on the study area. The Sanand branch command area has analyzed and evaluated the effects of canal irrigation. During the study period, the area under cultivation rose by almost 17%. This pattern is still present today.
