Author Name : Dr. P. Nagendra Swamy
ABSTRACT All organisations are facing the challenge of turn over intention of employees. Economical, psychological and organisational results are symptoms of complexity of labour attrition. Organisations across the globe have realised the consequences of high turnover and are giving more attention and importance to this issue since employees attrition slow down the performance both employees and organisation (Chen et al, 2010)[1]. This paper seeks to identify, evaluate and the rank the turn over intention causes and remedial measuring suggested to reduce attention in Bengaluru Urban. The study adapted self administered structured questionnaire to collect primary data from respondent employees. By using Chi-square, co-efficient of contingency test, Garrett ranking technique, the study found socio economic characteristics, drivers of employee turn over intention and remedial measures, that there exist significant reasons behind employee turn over. These reasons are ranked as per the expressions of employees. To probe the employee attrition, this research paper examines the intentions of turn over and also suggest the remedial measures to counter the employee turn over. Labour turn over or otherwise called attrition refers to gradual reduction in the number of employees through retirement, resignation or death. On account of employee attrition the organisation loses key skills, knowledge and business relationships. Modern managers and concerned administrators are interested in tackling the issue of attrition and design suitable strategies to retain the employees, since retention of the existing employees is better than hiring.
