Impact of Covid-19 on Indian Education System

ABSTRACT Aim: The objective of this study was to describe and interpret the impact of Covid-19 on Indian Education system, in the context of administration, teaching learning process and assessment. Research Methodology: Methodology of this article was narrative qualitative research; primary and secondary data both were used. For collection of secondary data, the researcher used both published and unpublished sources. For compilation of Primary data, purposive sampling and semi structured open ended interviews were conducted telephonically throughout the country on group of10 Schools / Institutes management, 20 Faculty members and 35 learners. Results and Conclusion: This study indicates the transition of age old traditional Indian Education system towards new age online education system. This study highlighted that there is an immediate necessity to devise an online platform for smooth functioning of educational activities, enriched curriculum, advanced teaching-learning processes and formative / summative assessments.
