Improvement of Geotechnical Properties of Cohesive Soil Using RBI Grade 81 and Waste Glass Powder
Author Name : Er. Chandan Kumar, Dr. Heena Malhotra, Er. Sandeep Kaur
ABSTRACT
The long-term performance of pavement constructions is heavily influenced by the stability of the underlying soils. In situ subgrades frequently fail to provide the necessary support for adequate performance under traffic loads and environmental conditions. However, stabilisation is a realistic alternative for improving soil characteristics; engineering qualities derived from it vary widely due to changes in soil structure, micro and macro structure, geologic deposit heterogeneity, and physical and chemical interactions between the soil and possible stabilisers. The usage of Waste Glass powder and RBI Grade 81 as soil stabilisers is discussed in this study.
