Investment Behaviour of Investors: A Study on Gold Investment with Special Reference to Chennai City

ABSTRACT
Behavioural Finance reflects the development of the conflicting approach to investment choices. After the pandemic, there was a significant shift in investment behaviour, and today's investor is setting the pace for this new development. The Options for Investment encompass both material and monetary assets. Investment is built on savings and these Investment portfolios develop according to the investor's mindset. An Indian investor's perspective of gold is distinct from other investing opportunities. The paper aims to evaluate the various factors influencing investor behaviour in gold investment. This study uses the primary data gained by a structured questionnaire for quantitative analysis. Convenient sampling method was used and sample size of 100 respondents was taken from Chennai City. This study uses descriptive analysisand correlation to display the vitalsignificant variable and relation with investment decision. The overall acceptability among all the relevant variables, which denotes significant agreement towards the justification for investing in gold, is shown by liquidity need in the economic class, while the lowest mean value suggests agreement with promotions with outside influences. Besides, when it comes to secured investment on gold, the results showed that there is positive significant relationship between all the investors behaviour towards gold investment.
