Law and Justice: The Dilemma of Modern Jurisprudence
Author Name : Dr. Lokesh Chandel
ABSTRACT
Proper co-ordination between Law and Justice is on which the happiness and prosperity of a nation depends.1 Law is a command of sovereign that’s what Austin have said. It casts a duty upon each and every individual to obey Laws. It is expected from every citizen to obey rules without looking at the pros and cons of it , any violation of it would lead to corporal punishment. Later on as the society evolved it was felt that Law necessarily needed to be objective based and that objective was termed as justice. But recent trends show that one more concept is needed to be reconciled with these precepts that is humanity, which will enable any state to become a respectable and acceptable member of the International Community. So the perfect co-ordination between law, justice and humanitarian principles would make this world a better place to live in.
