Life Expectancy of HIV+ Patients is influenced by Age along with Life Style and Infection Sources (Routes)
Author Name : Dr. Arvind Kumar
ABSTRACT
To examine the influence of age, life-style and routes of infection on the life expectancy of HIV+ patients, 30 patients as a case studies were experimentally and empirically investigated. It was hypothesized that there would be significant influence of (i) age, (ii) life-style and (iii) routes of infection on the life expectancy of HIV+/AIDS patients. Self-structured questionnaire along with personal data sheet were used for data collection. Chi-square was used for analysis of data. The results confirmed all the hypotheses. It was concluded that younger patients with better-life-style are favorable for high-life expectancy. Further, various routes of infection influence their life-expectancy significantly.
