Author Name : Manika Arora
ABSTRACT
The poems in Anjum Hasan’s collection, Street on the Hill, depict a subtle yet intense nostalgia and a memory jumbled with a keen desire to go back in the past. This paper traces the occurrence of such a lost past of an innocent childhood and the sensibility of a middle class existence in a small town close to the nature in Hasan’s poems.
