ABSTRACT The minimizations of reagent use enhancement of analytical performance, and broad field applicability with faster analysis time have made the miniaturization of separation techniques on–chip very popular. High–performance liquid chromatography systems and their adaption to microfabrication technologies are the main aspects of this paper's exploration. ―Lab-on-chip" and "micro-total analysis systems" were developed as a result of the integration of microfluidics with chromatography, with the objectives of enhancing and modernizing the existing technology with reduction in cost. The literature study highlights the significance of mechanical strength, chemical inertness, UV-vis transparency, electrical insulation, and biocompatibility when discussing materials appropriate for LC with mass spectrometry (LCeMS) microchips.
