ABSTRACT

For many applications such as online marketing and network security, assessing trust in online social networks is critical. It is a major problem, Moreover, due to the problems of handling difficult social network topologies and perform exact assessment in these topologies. To find these challenges, we design trust by developing the three-valued subjective logic (3VSL) model. 3VSL properly defines the uncertainties that exist in trust, thus is able to calculate trust in arbitrary graphs. We significantly prove the capability of 3VSL basis on the Dirichlet-Categorical (DC) distribution and its correctness in arbitrary OSN topologies. Based on the 3VSL model, we develop the AssessTrust (AT) algorithm to exactly calculate the trust between any two users connected in an OSN.
