OTT and Viewing Habits during Covid-19 Lockdown

ABSTRACT
The COVID-19 pandemic has substantially affected the film business, reflecting its effects over all expressions segments. Over the world films and cinemas have been shut, celebrations had been dropped or deferred, and release of movies were postponed indefinitely. As cinemas halls were shut, the worldwide film industry lost billions of dollars and the supply of film exhibitors dropped drastically. Meanwhile, the popularity of online cinema was seen increasing. Viewers were seen using the OTT platform to watch movies and entertainment and the OTT platform attracted viewers. Many films were released and many web series were also released on the OTT platform during lockdown. The OTT platform provided entertainment to people at home. The demand of the time was also that people should stay at home and stay safe. Online platform is a creating new world and changing our daily lives. Internet is changing Indian cinema very rapidly. This research focuses on the cinema viewing habits of the customers during Covid-19 Lockdown in jalandhar.
