ABSTRACT The structure, composition, and diversity of phytoplankton communities in aquatic ecosystems are influenced by several physico-chemical factors. The distribution of phytoplankton is greatly influenced by hydro chemical and physical variables, leading to spatial and temporal fluctuations. These variables have a significant impact on the phytoplankton population, causing changes in species composition and overall diversity within the marine environment. Understanding the dynamic environmental factors and their impact on phytoplankton production is crucial, since it significantly affects the food web and overall productivity. Furthermore, aquaculture and human activities also make a substantial contribution to alterations in the system. In Waddepally fresh water lake phytoplankton detected the existence Cyanophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Bacillariophyceae, Euglenophyceae, and Dinophyceae.
