Prospects of Solar Energy in Rural Haryana, India
Author Name : Dr. Pallavi Sharma
ABSTRACT India's growing efforts to broaden the share of renewable energy have in recent years led to a significant increase in solar power generation. In India, the solar power industry has immense prospects for growth as solar energy production in our country is at a high rate due to multiple factors and geographical location in the tropics being one of them. The solar power industry in India is growing day by day due to the government’s dedicated incentives and initiatives to the manufacturers of top solar energy companies, renewable energy companies, low operating costs of the top solar companies in India, and solar panels in India. The country's geographical position stands to its advantage for solar generation. The factor India is a tropical country and it gets solar radiation nearly all year round.Because of their position, States such as Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan and West Bengal have tremendous capacity to harness solar power. Because the majority of the population lives in rural areas, there is significant room for the promotion of solar energy in these regions. Use of solar energy can reduce rural household use of firewood and dung cakes.
