ABSTRACT

Newly observation study in Midnapore distric of West Bengal, The caterpillar of Papilio demoleus was observed feeding on the foliage of the Psoralea corylifolia plants. The butterfly was found laying eggs singly on the upper surface of the leaves and completes their life cycle on second host plant of the wild plant of Fabaceae family.
