Review Paper on Self-Balancing Two-Wheel Spy Robot
Author Name : Vishnu Divakar, Anuj Gupta
Spy robots are robots which can be used as an early warning system for defending attacks in border region or can be used to monitor suspicious activities in hostile environment without causalities. The design of spy robot has to be crucial since the application of spy robot would be on rough and uneven terrains. Self-Balancing robots can be applied on any terrain since it has got the capacity to stand upright and only uses two wheels so the size of robot is reduced. Self-Balancing robots are famed for its agility and manoeuvrability which are crucial factors for spy robots. Self-Balancing algorithm is an application to a classical control system problem of inverted pendulum it uses advanced controller such as PID to maintain the position of robot at zero degree. The robot is equipped with a pan and tilt platform to mount camera for video capturing. The system contains a remote controller for the user to control the motion of the robot and got a MATLAB GUI for the user to watch the real time video footages as well as log it to the hard disk. The sensor used to measure the inclination of robot is MPU-6050 and need to use filters like Kalman filter or Complementary filter.
