But the Bar, which includes prosecution as well as the defense, as a whole plays a vital role in the administration of criminal justice by assisting the judiciary in reaching to the truth in criminal cases and therefore, both its wings deserve to be discussed together. Emphasizing the role of the lawyers, the Supreme Court in the case of Bar Council of Maharashtra v. M.V.
