ABSTRACT Diabetic foot ulcer typically develops in areas where your foot repeatedly rubs or presses against shoes or other surfaces. It is can leads to infection. About 15% of people with diabetes will get a foot ulcer. It’s also estimated 80% of people live with diabetics in developing countries. If you have diabetics to focus on prevention to avoid foot ulcer. Focus on managing blood sugar, proper foot care, regular foot exams and wearing appropriate foot wear. Understanding risk factors of like neuropathy, peripheral artery disease, and foot deformities helps in early identification and intervention to mitigate the risk of ulcers. This study attempts to studying risk factors and prevention of diabetic foot ulcer, including patient education, foot care practices and foot wear intervention.This is a prospective observational study conducted among the participants who underwent diabetic foot ulcer in tertiary care teaching hospital located in the southern rural part of India for the duration of 6 months
