Supply Chain Management a Technique for Inventory Management: An Overview

ABSTRACT  The goal of the supply chain should be to maximize overall supply chain profitability. Supply chain profitability is the difference between revenue generated from the customer and the total cost incurred across all the stages of the supply chain. Supplier interest, cost, quality technology affects the supply chain revenue. Now day’s industries have to become competitive for their survival. Competition in industries has increased with the development of faster means of communication and customer awareness. In parliamentary law to become competitive, the industries have to supply product at reliable and reduced delivery time. In this paper, we have reviewed various articles on supply chain management in order to interpret the importance of SCM in Indian as well as in World-wide industries and tried to provide a better understanding for effective implementation of SCM.
