Synthesize and Characterization of graft co- Polymer of sodium Cellulose Sulphate and Acrylic Amide
Author Name : Yogesh Baj, Savankumar Patel, Nirmal K. Patel
ABSTRACT In this Study, we synthesize of novel Cellulose-based pharmaceutical excipients via graft copolymerization mixtures of Acrylic Amide (AA) onto Sodium Cellulose Sulfate backbone. The polymerization response was taken into consideration in an aqueous medium and in the presence of Ammonium Persulfate (APS) as an initiator and N, N’-Methylene Bisacrylamide (MBA) as a cross-linker. The arrangements were established by FTIR and SEM spectroscopies. Results specified that embedding is a competent method to convey biodegradability to non-biodegradable polymers by the covalent attachment of monomers on sodium cellulose sulfate backbone.Grafting was carried out by thermal grafting method. APS was used as initiator for grafting. Different concentration of monomer % was used to study effect of monomer concentration on the %grafting. Result shows that as the monomer concentration increases %grafting is also increases. Swelling index study reveals that as the monomer concentration increased swelling index is also increased.
