INTRODUCTION
Literary history is equally important as cultural history. If the roots are intense and indestructible, it will enrich the insights of future generations. It is the essence of the sacredness of tradition that stimulates the self-consciousness of the individual. It must have the spiritual vitality needed to strengthen hopes and dawns.

The time for a language free from regulation was noticed by the devotional atmosphere of spiritual devotion through writings of Ezuthachan. Since then, the culture and literature of the Malayalees have been subjected to constant appraisal of movements and latest trends.
