Thickness Dependent Optical Properties of 50Zno-25B2O3-25V2O5 Thin Films

ABSTRACT Thin films of Zinc – borate - vanadium(50ZnO-25B2O3-25V2O5)were prepared to different thicknesses by thermal evaporation technique. The optical properties were studied by taking transmittance and reflectance spectra in the ultraviolet-visible region. The thickness dependence of absorption co-efficient, refractive index, extinction co-efficient on wavelength as well as energy gap of prepared samples are studied. The results indicate that the studied optical properties are dependent on film thickness.
