ABSTRACT
Three-factor authentication (3FA) is a security mechanism that requires three types of authentication factors to verify a user's identity. The three factors typically include something the user knows, such as a password or PIN; something the user has, such as a smart card or token; and something the user is, such as a biometric identifier like a fingerprint or facial recognition. In this paper, we propose a novel 3FA approach that uses graphical passwords as one of the authentication factors. The proposed system is based on a combination of text-based passwords, One time password generated via email, and graphical passwords. The graphical passwords are used as an alternative to traditional alphanumeric passwords, providing a more user-friendly and memorable method of authentication. We evaluate the proposed system's performance using metrics such as accuracy, speed, and user satisfaction.
