To Assess the Effectiveness of Planned Teaching Programme on Knowledge Regarding Menstrual Hygiene among Adolescent Girls in Selected Urban Community At Guwahati.

ABSTRACT Background: Adolescent girls constitute vulnerable group particularly in India where female child is neglected one. This study is therefore aim to assess the effectiveness of planned teaching program on knowledge regarding menstrual hygiene among adolescent girl in selected urban community at Guwahati. Materials and Methods: Pre-experimental one group, pre-test and post-test design were adopted for the study. In the study 60 adolescent girls of Bamunimaidan urban community at Guwahati were selected by using non probability purposive sampling technique. The tool used for the study are demographic variables and structured knowledge questionnaire. The analysis is done by using both descriptive and inferential statistics .
